Little Diners, Big Smiles: Your Guide to Dining with Kids at Sushi Hiro

Hiro Boy posing with a young guest and her mum at Sushi Hiro

Sushi Hiro was made for families. Between the moving belt, the colourful plates and a certain mascot named Hiro Boy, there’s plenty to keep little ones smiling. Here’s how to make the most of your next family meal.

The Hiro Kids Menu

Our kids’ sets are tasty, fun and made for children aged 12 and below. Each one comes on a playful character tray with curly fries and butter corn on the side:

  • Hiro Chicky Fried Rice: garlic fried rice with fried chicken and fish cake.
  • Hiro Salmon Ochazuke: dashi broth on rice with tofu, seaweed, fish cake and salmon flakes.
  • Hiro Chicky Tomato Pasta: tomato pasta with fried chicken and fish cake.

Hiro Boy’s Mini Adventure

Waiting for food is easier with a mission! Our kids’ activity sheet has three:

  • Mission 1 — Sticker Mapping: match each of Hiro Boy’s poses.
  • Mission 2 — Find the Way: help Hiro Boy through the maze to the treasure.
  • Mission 3 — Story Time: read a Hiro Boy mini comic together.

Loved the comic? You can read every Hiro Boy story in our Comic Corner — a new one arrives every quarter.

Kid-approved plates on the belt

Let kids pick their own plates — they’ll love it. Gentle favourites include tamago (sweet omelette) sushi, corn mayo gunkan, egg mayo inari, edamame and fried tofu, while the blue plates bring takoyaki, mochi and fruity puddings.

More gentle picks from the menu

  • Chawanmushi, a silky steamed egg custard.
  • Atsuyaki Tamago, our house-made rolled omelette.
  • Wakatori Karaage, Japanese-style fried chicken.
  • Kitsune Udon with sweet seasoned tofu.
  • A scoop of mango, matcha, vanilla or chocolate ice cream to finish.

A few tips for parents

  • Come early — we open at 11:30am daily, when it’s calmer and easier to find a table.
  • Check the menu for the spicy label if you have little ones who prefer mild food.
  • Keep an eye out for Hiro Boy — he loves a photo!
